Abolish Slavery DC is a campaign to end the exception clause in the 13th Amendment which allows for slavery, but in prisons. DC is the nation's capital, yet because of the Compensated Emancipation Act of 1862, slavery is still legal. Join us in demanding that the DC Council pass a resolution that amends this Act to abolish slavery in DC. Support our efforts by donating to Abolish Slavery National Network.
